Re: Violent incident in Stoneybatter on Sunday, 9th February 2025. The Dublin’s North Inner City Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) is deeply. saddened by the violent event that occurred in Stoneybatter on Sunday last, 9th February.

Our thoughts are with the men, their families, friends, and neighbours who were victims of the assault, and we wish them a swift and full recovery.

The community of Stoneybatter is strong, resilient, and diverse, and we commend them as they come together to support each other and help where they can following this incident. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Gardaí, Fire, and Ambulance services for their swift and effective response, which undoubtedly prevented further harm and the possible loss of life.

The LCSP support office would like to thank community members who took our calls yesterday and spoke to us about their reactions to this event. There is a person being held in custody and the case remains under investigation. In these trying times, it is crucial for everyone to rely on trusted news sources for accurate information.

We urge the public to avoid spreading unverified information that can cause unnecessary panic and confusion.

Together, we can overcome this and work towards a safer, more united community.

Best regards,

Eddie Mullins, Voluntary Chair, DNIC, Local Community Safety Partnership
