Upcoming Hallowe’en Events in the NIC!
There are some spooktacular events coming up in the North Inner City coming up to Hallowe’en!
The NEIC’s Big Scream festival is back and bigger than ever, with a full programme of events running from the 22nd all the way up to Hallowe’en night on the 31st! Highlights include the Deadly Hallowe’en Party for the NEIC’s older adults at Lourdes Daycare Centre on Friday 25th, the Doggy Dress Up parade for Dublin’s most horrifying hounds at noon in Diamond Park on the Bank Holiday Monday, and the Big Scream Hallowe’en Funfair on Sean McDermott Street, starting from 6pm! You can see the full programme of electrifying events on their website! The Big Scream is a fully run, managed, and delivered by the north east inner city’s community, massive thanks to the Big Scream Festival Committee and their chair Peter O’Connor!
The Bram Stoker Festival, supported by our partners in Dublin City Council, will have a number of events across the NIC, including Making Faces: Mask Making at the Museum at Colin’s Barracks for the smallies (aged 7-12) at 2pm on Bank Holiday Monday and the launch of a long-lost ghost story by Dublin’s own Bram Stoker, at An Extraordinary Bram Stoker Discovery: Gibbet Hill on Saturday 26th at 1pm in the Pillar Room at the Rotunda. There are even more events across the Dublin City area, including the south side, that you can find on their Events Map.
Dublin 7’s Fruit Veg and Flower Market on Mary’s Lane has once again been brought back to life as the Village of Fear! For its 8th year running in Dublin, the award winning Nightmare Realm is back, with tickets at €24 for teens and €34 for adults.
Structured events like these are a great way of making sure that Hallowe’en can stay safe without being any less scary!
