Don’t forget to Check the Register!
With Ireland’s next General Election now announced for November 29th, there’s only 3 weeks left to make sure you’re registered to vote!
You can check your voting details on checktheregister.ie by just clicking “Check your details”, selecting your local authority and entering your name and Eircode, and it will tell you where your polling station is.
If you aren’t registered, or are registered to a different address or electoral area, you still have time to update your details or apply – the local authority needs to receive you rappliation (online or by post) 15 days before the general election (excluding Sundays, public holidays, and Good Friday).
You can read more about registering to vote on Registering to vote (citizensinformation.ie), or on https://checktheregister.ie/en-IE/.
Please note that as this is a General Election, only Irish and British citizens living in Ireland are eligible to vote.
