Outhouse Community Casework Service
Our partners in Outhouse have launched a new service for LGBTQ+ people that may be in periods of crisis or vulnerability and be in need of additional supports.
The Community Casework Service is designed to provide one-to-one support for LGBTQ+ people experiencing difficulties, helping them build resilience and plan for personal development. The Outhouse team conducts an initial assessment to understand each individual’s circumstances and needs, creating a tailored care plan to support their journey.
The Community Casework service provides key support services and direct advocacy for patrons of Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre. The service has a person-centred approach, where each patron’s needs and goals are discussed and explored. Through working with the Key Support Worker, patrons can work towards a plan where they can achieve their personalised goals.
