Drug Related Intimidation info session

Our DRIVE Project Lead Jack Sheeran and Inspector Kenneth Hoare facilitated an information session in Ozanam House on drug related intimidation. Inspector Kenneth Hoare discussed the Drug related Intimidation Reporting Programme, a means for victims of DRI to speak confidentially with Inspectors in An Garda Síochána for advice on safety when experiencing drug related intimidation.

This was followed by Jack discussing the DRIVE Project, which is a national project aimed at rolling out training and data collection for addiction, family support, and other community services to be able to respond to and record their service users’ needs when experiencing DRI.

Chair of the LCSP Eddie Mullins, with Co-ordinator Sonya Keniry, NIC DRIVE Project Lead Jack Sheeran, and DRI Reporting Programme Nominated Inspector Kenneth Hoare

We had a great turnout from a broad cross-section of relevant services, including youth services, financial advice services, and addiction services.
Thanks to Ozanam House for hosting us, and thanks to all who attended. We look forward to hosting further information sessions throughout the rest of the year.
